Why Blog?

Studying such a controversial political situation we have become sensitized to the the competing narratives that define the existence of both the Palestinians and Israelis. This is why we both feel it is highly important to study and analyze the different media portrayals of key events, situations, and people. 

Our intentions are to look at both perspectives of two events each week (if we have time...there might be more :)). Lisa will be looking at the Israeli narrative and comparing their position to the Palestinians and explaining what makes this perspective unique. In contrast Natashia will be doing a similar task by looking towards a Palestinian/Arab narrative. 

What we hope to accomplish is presenting a balanced and informative critique on a highly controversial issue, whilst also highlighting the importance of adopting a more critical frame of mind.
